Dr Ramona (Haniyeh) Fayazfar is currently an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering department at the University of Ontario Tech, Canada. Her main research concentrates on Nanostructured Composites/Hybrid Materials, Advanced Manufacturing (Nanofabrication and Additive Manufacturing), Electrochemical Synthesis of Nanostructured Materials, Advanced Coatings and Surface Treatment, Biosensors for Point-of-Care Diagnostics and Health Monitoring. The outcomes of her research have been published in high prestigious journals/conferences and covered by various media outlets. Dr. Fayazfar was awarded the ‘Best Research Award’ from "Intern. Research Awards on New Science Inventions ", 2021. Prior to joining Ontario Tech, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing group at the University of Waterloo. Her main research as a PDF concentrated on Additive Manufacturing (with a focus on the development and optimization of novel AM-specific categories of materials tailored towards specific applications as well as addressing current challenges of metal AM). She received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Iran. She was awarded the University commemorative plaque and medal from the President of SUT for being ranked first among all graduated Ph.D. and Masters.

María Encarnación Lorenzo Abad is currently Full Professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She received her degree in Chemistry in 1978 and her PhD degree in 1985 from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Janet M. Wang-Roveda is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998 and 2000, respectively. She was a recipient of the NSF career award and the Presidential Early Achievement Award for Science and Engineering at the White House in 2005 and 2006, respectively. She was the recipient of the 2008 R. Newton Graduate Research Award from the EDA community, the 2007 USS University of Arizona Outstanding Achievement Award, the 2016 Da Vinci Award, and the 2017 ACABI fellow for the Biomedical Engineering Advancement. She received the best paper award in the journal of clean energy in 2013, ISQED 2010 as well as best paper nominations in ASP-DAC 2010, ICCAD 2007, and ISQED 2005. Her primary research interests focus on robust VLSI circuit design, biomedical instrument design, Smart grid, VLSI circuit modeling/design and analysis, and low power multi-core system design. She has over 200 publications.

Jonathan Hu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Baylor University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Before he joined Baylor University in August 2011, he spent two years as a Research Associate at Princeton University. His research interests include mid-IR supercontinuum generation, chalcogenide glass fibers, photonic crystal fibers, optical amplifiers, nonlinear optics, nanophotonics, biosensors, 2D materials, and surface plasmons. In 2015, he served as a topic co-chair for Mid Infrared Photonics (MIP) in the IEEE Summer Topical Meetings.

To whom it may concern, I have more than 5 years post Ph.D. professional research experience in some of the world's respected universities and laboratories. I have been successful in developing/executing innovative scientific ideas as well as experimental techniques and have more than 50 articles and presentations to my credit. One of my greatest strengths is interdisciplinary research. My strong background in Chemistry, Physics, and Materials Science/Engineering together with my ability to produce accurate and reproducible results makes me a perfect choice for advanced multidisciplinary research. I am adept at designing and implementing experimental procedures in Chemistry, Materials, Mechanics, and Electronics. My current research interests include polymer composites, and macro-/hetero-structures of graphene-like two-dimensional materials for energy, healthcare, and electronics applications. I am skilled in a wide variety of experimental/characterization techniques, including XPS, RAMAN, XRD, SEM, TEM, Photolithography, e-beam, electrical and mechanical characterizations, as well as many others.

Dr. Ike Chi is a material and processing engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He is currently the integrated product team lead for Skutterudite Technology Maturation (STM) program and the device development task lead for Advanced Thermoelectric Couples (ATEC) program. He has several years of experience in fabricating advanced thermoelectric (TE) devices and developing novel and highly efficient TE materials for extraterrestrial and waste heat recovery applications. He is also interested in the area of biomedical metals, ceramics, and semiconductors for implants/scaffolds and biosensing using ultra-high surface area materials. Dr. Chi received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 2014.

Mouad Lamrani, Ph.D. is the General manager of Menicon Co., Ltd. R&D Frontier Science Center at Geneva Switzerland. From 2010 to 2014, Dr. Lamrani was Dean and General Manager at the Institute of Sciences and Advanced Mechanics in Le Mans (ISMANS), situated in Le Mans, France. Dr. Mouad Lamrani was the Director and General Manager of Menicon Global R&D since 2005. While he was the first non-Japanese researcher to enter Menicon Co Ltd, Japan, he was responsible for establishing 3 branches of Menicon R&D in Strasbourg and Lyon, France as well as Singapore. He developed for Menicon Co. Ltd a global network of research with outstanding researchers, Universities, and companies across Asia, Europe, and the USA. He is specialized in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, and Biomaterials for health applications. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1993 at the University of Blaise Pascal at Clermont-Ferrand. He obtained the EU award of “Human Capital Mobility” which led him to a 2-years postdoctoral position in Instituto de Sciencia y Materials Autonoma de Barcelona. He was appointed assistant researcher at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Taejon for 18 months. In 1997 He obtained the award of Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in Chemistry. He was Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Professor Yoshinori Yamamoto at Tohoku University in Sendai. In 2000, he was awarded the prize of the Japan Novartis Foundation for the young scientist. Since 2000 he was working with Menicon Co Ltd, the first and oldest Ophthalmology Japanese Company (60 Years). In 2002, Dr. Lamrani was awarded the President Prize of best science of the year in Menicon Co Ltd. He published extensively in peer review Journals and patented in the academy and Menicon. He managed Global R&D Innovation Centre in Japan, Singapore and Lyon, France.

Ayodeji Olalekan Salau received his B.Eng. in Electrical/Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He received his MSc and PhD degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His research interests include research in the fields of computer vision, image processing, signal processing, machine learning, power systems engineering, and nuclear engineering. Dr. Salau serves as a reviewer for numerous reputable international journals. His research has been published in a number of reputable international conferences, books, and major international journals. He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and a recipient of the Quarterly Franklin Membership with ID number CR32878 given by the Editorial Board of London Journals Press in 2020 for top quality research output. In addition, Dr. Salau’s paper was awarded the best paper of the year 2019 in Cogent Engineering. Furthermore, he is the recipient of the International Research Award on New Science Inventions (NESIN) under the category of “Best Researcher Award” given by ScienceFather in 2020. Also, he was awarded the Chancellors award as the highest publishing academic for the year 2020-2022 at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Nigeria. Presently, Dr. Salau works at Afe Babalola University in the Department of Electrical/Electronics and Computer Engineering.
